ATLANTA, GA – September 13, 2016 — Hooters today announced it is recognizing Bangkok-based franchisee, Destination Resorts Co., Ltd. with its 2015 Developer of the Year award for the international franchisee’s commitment to the development and growth of the Hooters brand.
Destination Resorts is committed to bringing 35 new Hooters restaurant locations throughout Southeast Asia. Earlier this year the franchisee opened two Thailand locations, the largest international Hooters location, Hooters of Pattaya, as well as the fourth Thailand location, Hooters of Nana. It also recently opened the first ever location for Hooters in Hong Kong. The franchisee plans to open an additional five new locations this year: Hooters of Samui in Thailand; Hooters of Manila Eastwood in Philippines; Hooters of Marina in Singapore; and Hooters of Phnom Phen in Cambodia.

In 2015, its locations in Phuket and Bangkok raised funds for the fight against breast cancer as well as local area orphanages: Baan Dek Holland Orphanage, Camillian Home for disabled Children, Baan Jing Jai Orphanage and Friends for all Children (FFAC).
