Hooters today unveiled the opening of a new international location, Hooters of Koh Samui, led by franchisee Destination Eats Pte Ltd., a Hooters 2015 Developer of the Year.
Hooters of Koh Samui is located at 168/60 M.2, T. BoPhud, A. in Koh Samui, Thailand’s second largest island. It is a great addition to the popular Chaweng Beach area known for its busy hotels and restaurants, pristine beach, and excellent nightlife. Local guests and residents are invited to unwind and enjoy Hooters mouth-watering wings, burgers and salads in the new 190-seat location which boasts more than 20 large screen televisions.
“We are thrilled to open this beachfront location on one of the most popular and charming islands Southeast Asia has to offer,” said Gary Murray, CEO, Destination Eats Pte Ltd. “Hooters fun-loving atmosphere coupled with its delicious menu options make this an ideal dining destination for the entire family.”
The new location is part of a 35-location Southeast Asia development agreement between Hooters and Singapore-based international franchisee, Destination Eats Pte Ltd. Along with the recent opening of Hooters of Singapore – Marina Bay, Hooters of Jakarta, Hooters of Fusionopolis, and other Hooters restaurants in Asia, the new openings will further bolster Hooters presence across Asia. The franchisee has plans to open additional Hooters locations this summer in Phnom Penh, Cambodia as well as multiple locations in Manila, the capital of the Philippines.
“Destination Eats Pte Ltd. is a trusted partner with a proven track record of growing the Hooters brand across Southeast Asia,” said Mark Whittle, chief development officer, Hooters of America. “We invite Koh Samui locals and tourists to sample Hooters world-famous wings served up by our one-of-a-kind Hooters Girls while they take in the beautiful surroundings of Chaweng Beach.”
The new location will incorporate the latest design features that deliver the familiar, fun-loving persona of the Hooters brand along with contemporary elements that combine to deliver a one-of-a-kind guest experience. While guests will still enjoy Hooters craveable burgers, wings, appetizers and salads, they can expect some additions to the menus to suit local taste buds. These include Thai sauce options such as massaman curry and tom yum in addition to a full Thai menu.
Hooters recognized Destination Eats Pte Ltd. with its 2015 Developer of the Year award for the international franchisee’s commitment to the development and growth of the Hooters brand.
